Fave GM (Check this out BlueBabyGirl) Hey there everybody. I am wondering, who is your favorite grandmaster. Personaly, GM Robert Fischer is my fave. Bluebaby, what do you think. We seem to be the only people making reasonable fourm strands.
allkarlos ♡ 11 ( +1 | -1 )
Tal The great Mikhail Tal, "the Magician from Riga", was one of the greatest attacking geniuses in the history of recorded chess.

If I had to pick... ...the one player who had to play the game that would save the entire civilized universe, there is only one logical choice-Emanuel Lasker. He always won when he had to,and the more pressure on him,the better he liked it.
bluebabygirl ♡ 102 ( +1 | -1 )
to all ok here it is --each has his own choice of player that he thinks is best . i now say that there is and were so many greats that picking one is just about impossible !! YES FISCHER WAS TRULY GREAT!!! . TAL WAS MAGNIFICENT,,ALEKHINE WAS GLOROIUS,, LASKER WAS TERRIFIC and CAPA WAS CAPA!!!! THERE ARE MORE , OH YES MANY MORE LEADING UP TO TODAY'S GREATS . however only RUBINSTEIN COULD PLAY LIKE A RUBINSTEIN!!!!!SEE SEE HOW EASY IT IS TO GO FOR ONLY YOUR OWN PERSONAL FAVORITE OR HERO ! I will now admit that there is a possibility that RUBINSTEIN is THAT great only to me .I also say that each one named above was a god to me speaking only in terms of chess!! I guess im finallly admitting that other peoples favorite or hero is or was as great as MY Rubinstein!! man that hurt to say. but im coming around to that conclusion mostly because TAL was so very great that he actually started taking RUBINSTEIN'S PLACE IN MY DREAMS man that hurt to say . enough exposing my chess soul to you guys , yours bluebabygirl

Favorite GM I like Keres, not only for his chess, but also for his contributions to chess literature. His books help me a lot. I also like Max Euwe. And of course I love Morphy, back in the days of chess romanticism. Ahhhh, before the days of exhausting opening book study.... if only I could go back in time.

Fave GM I also like Alikhine. He was very good. Bobby Fischer did have some problems with his btain though.
chesstickle ♡ 4 ( +1 | -1 )
none i don't like any of them. they are all freaks.
batman_255 ♡ 5 ( +1 | -1 )
Chesstickle If you think GM's are freaks, then why are you on a GM topic fourm?
bluebabygirl ♡ 42 ( +1 | -1 )
to any there are millions of non chess players that think ANY chess player is a freak. so maybe GMs are ,, maybe i am ,, maybe you are ,, so what . i care not if people think im a freak for playing chess . it is they who are missing out not me . however i agree partailly with chesstickle ,, sometimes when playing chess i do get freaky . and i suspect there are a lot of freaky grandmasters. i view that word in context to chess as an honor !!! yoursbluebabygirl
lordnguyenvo ♡ 30 ( +1 | -1 )
to bluebabygirl I'm hoping that in your last post you were joking(" i view that word in context to chess as an honor ") 'cause it would be an OK joke but if it is your real opinion then I'm freaking out cause it is just so freaky.I surely don't want that word near my name :).
verticalchess ♡ 7 ( +1 | -1 )
How do you... get freaky playing chess? That is an interesting statement by blue!
bluebabygirl ♡ 53 ( +1 | -1 )
to vertical yes im an interesting person . and you have to be able to get freaky to understand it . it mostly means being able to imagine something on the board thats very far in future play without exact calculation, similiar to intuition , at least thats my way of viewing it . and sometimes no matter how unlikely for that exact order of moves to happen, no matter how illogical or no matter how many other good or strong moves nevertheleess it happens the way you envision. I call that freaky!!! anyone else had similiar thing ?? yours bluebabygirl
raimon ♡ 15 ( +1 | -1 )
I can find my way to the bathroom on a pitch black night without turning on any lights and without bumping into anything - that's pretty freaky!
bluebabygirl ♡ 40 ( +1 | -1 )
to raimon yes but you most likely had major motivation for that !!! and doing it without bumping into anything was maybe just a matter of luck. try it some night when its not an urgent task you may have different results , or maybe just a wasted trip!! however if you find a long lost 100 dollar bill in the dark on your way to the bathroom-- nows thats FREAKY!!! yours bluebabygirl
leaddog ♡ 1 ( +1 | -1 )
freaky is in the eye of the beholder
raimon ♡ 12 ( +1 | -1 )
BBG If I found a 100 dollar bill, then I would know I was in the wrong house! and you're right that would be freaky!
chesstickle ♡ 46 ( +1 | -1 )
chess is easy Quote "it mostly means being able to imagine something on the board thats very far in future play without exact calculation, similiar to intuition , at least thats my way of viewing it".

in chess there are only 30 or so things you can do each move. that's not many. Life offers far more opportunities, and you don't have to wait 14 days for each move. So why am I stuck here playing chess? I guess I like the simple things. GRRRR
